new recipes of the week
Watch me on cw saturday morning dinner spinner
A funny thing happened when I started cooking for my friends and family. Their reactions are usually pleasantly surprised because no one ever knew I cook, much less cook decently well. The first thing they always ask is if they can have the recipe ... then the second thing they ask is when did I became so domesticated? Domesticated?? Hmmm... I am nowhere near as hardworking as those moms with kids crawling around everywhere. I work a normal job just like everyone else and while I've been blessed with a more flexible schedule I really find that people just assume that cooking is much harder than it really is. So I thought ... there it is folks: I want to show that cooking really isn't that hard. If I, a girl who knows most malls in Southern California like the back of her hand, a young working professional, can come home and cook a meal for 2 or 10... anyone can do it.
This wouldn't have happened without the encouragement and support of my friends and family. I want to give special shout out to www.saidesigngroup.com for my cover photos and putting up with my clumsy non-modelesque ways - go check out www.saidesigngroup.com! To my baby sister for being such a diligent food photographer - okay fine you can list that as something that you are better at lol jk. Thank you to all my friends and family for eating all the food that I cooked so that I can take photos for the site. I know that life can be so hard when you have food comas and have to put in extra time at the gym =P To Snoopy for forever being my biggest supporter, critic and guinea pig <3
